The annual Helen H Fluke Trip is a FANTASTIC value and FUN opportunity to get out on the water, spend time with other Salties, friends, family, and neighbors, and experience sportfishing for fabled "doormat" fluke of New England and Nantucket Sound!

The Salties reserve the entire Helen H boat for this event, and negotiate a PRIME discounted rate, ensuring that your participation in this one event more than doubly repays the value of your annual membership.

It‘s a great opportunity to recruit NEW MEMBERS, as they can sign up for membership, pay for the trip, and STILL pay less than they would for a standard cost trip out out to the fluke grounds on the Helen H!

This year, the boat captain says we‘ll leave the dock around 6AM on July 18th and we‘ll plan to return around 4 to 5PM. We like to have everyone arrive no later than 5:30 AM to check-in. Parking is free, but limited, so carpooling is suggested (recommended).

As noted above, the club is charged a flat fee for the entire boat (and our captain was kind enough not increase price from last year). We like to limit the number of participants to 40 people, which will cover the cost at $125/ member and $150/nonmembers. Limiting to 40 members helps ensure a VERY reasonable cost while also promoting a positive, enjoyable, educational fishing excursion.

This is a $225 trip if booked individually!
As with all fishing charters, a 15% tip is recommended at the end of the trip for crew assistance and fish filleting.

Rods are available to rent as needed.
Bring coolers with ice to store your fish during the day.

Most importantly, BRING A FRIEND, FAMILY MEMBER, OR NEIGHBOR, and show them what they‘re missing out on by not being ‘hooked up‘ as an official member of the Cape Cod Salties!

As you may have heard during updates and announcements at recent club meetings, The Cape Cod Salties are helping Mass DMF host a "take me fishing" clinic on Wednesday, July 24th, from 3 PM to 6 PM. The club is excited to host this event in partnership with our friends at Mass DMF and the Town of Yarmouth. The event is being advertised to different community and youth organizations, and we anticipate a healthy turnout of novices and young anglers interested in learning more about saltwater sport fishing. The Salties will be manning a series of stations on the basics of angling: rods, bait, tackle, knots, proper fish handling, etc. WE WILL NEED YOUR HELP to make this event a success. Many of our members have expressed interest in getting back to ‘learn to fish‘ and waterfront events such as this; so, we are encouraging all interested, able, and available members to RSVP and help contribute to a strong showing for our club. Don‘t miss this opportunity to educate our community about sustainable recreational angling and recruit new members to our club. Because this event is planned for the same day as our regular monthly club meeting, we will be canceling the clubhouse meeting for the month of July and encouraging all members to come out and support The Salties and our broader Community at the first "Take Me Saltwater Fishing" clinic, Smuggler‘s Beach, Yarmouth, July 24th at 3 PM.
