About this event
Fisheries Policy 101. Come and learn how fisheries policy works at the national, regional and state level and how anglers can engage for policy impact. Also learn about the hot topics in fisheries today including NOAA Fisheries appropriations, reenvisioning the Marine Recreational Information Program (MRIP) to enhance data, climate ready fisheries, impacts on recreational fishing, and how to keep fishers sustainable with strong conservation measures to grow fish so there are more in the water for all of us to catch, eat and/or release.
Capt. Dave Monti is owner/operator of No Fluke Fishing LLC, a charter fishing business, fishing writing and fish/angler advocacy business. He has written regular columns for On-The-Water, the Marine Fish Conservation Network and a weekly column for thirteen newspapers in MA and RI.
